LEO Chandlers Field 2025 073

Ofsted

Chandlers Field is GOOD in all areas!

'Pupils are safe and happy. They model the school's values such as aspiration, perseverance, and ‘together’ excellently. Pupils know how to keep themselves safe, including when online.'

'Staff have high expectations of what pupils can achieve. Pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), learn the curriculum well. The school is determined for all pupils to succeed across the full curriculum.'

'The curriculum is highly ambitious, including in the early years. Lessons help pupils to build their knowledge effectively. For example, in English pupils learn increasingly sophisticated vocabulary successfully. Pupils develop spelling, punctuation and grammar positively, learning from mistakes and constructing writing for different genres skilfully.'

Ofsted Inspection Support

LEO Academy Trust extensively supports its schools during Ofsted inspections. This includes building strong relationships from the start, providing dedicated members of staff on inspection day, and showcasing the Trust's collaborative approach. During an inspection, the CEO and/or Director of Education will attend team meetings alongside the Principal, or will delegate this responsibility to another member of the Trust's Executive Team. Members of the Trust’s central education and professional services teams will often attend other meetings with inspectors, alongside leaders from the school.  The CEO, Chair of the Trust Board and Chair of the local Academy Committee will represent the Trust's governance in meetings with the inspection team. While the Trust leads many aspects of the school's work, the school itself maintains control over its daily operations. More details can be found in our Scheme of Delegation.
