Modern Foreign Languages
Learning a foreign language is a useful life skill and provides an opening to other cultures. At Chandlers Field Primary Academy, we aim to provide a high-quality language programme that fosters children’s curiosity and deepens their understanding of the world. Our curriculum enables children to express their ideas and thoughts in another language and understand and respond to its speakers, both in speech and in writing. We provide opportunities for children to communicate for practical purposes, learn new ways of thinking and read in the original language. Our teaching of language aims to provide the foundation for learning further languages, in order to equip our children to study and work in other countries.
